Halloween night is coming

The spiders have escaped. Walk the street, look up, and count every one you find.

A giant purple and green spider crawls over a moonlit suburban street with glowing windows and a water tower.

How the game works

Look up

Spiders hang from eaves, tree branches and rooflines. Some are bigger than you expect.

Look around

Check mailboxes, fences, windows and front porches. The small ones are the sneaky ones.

Count them all

Keep a tally on your phone or in your head, then compare with friends. Nobody is keeping score.

On Halloween night, the spiders have company

Richardson Haunt Labs opens its free haunted house in the driveway on Somerset Canyon Lane. Saturday, October 31, [START TIME] to [END TIME].

It is made for ages 8 to 13, with real scares and clear safety rules. Read what to expect before you come.

Where did these spiders come from?

Old Man Richardson was a mortician who spent forty years studying skulls, and his experiments never stayed in the lab. The spiders are the latest thing to get out.

They have eight legs and no respect for property lines. They will turn up on any house that wants one.
